News: Update to Lyft Driver Experience for Auto Repair and Service on Openbay Marketplace

Openbay updated the Lyft driver experience on its e-commerce automotive marketplace for repair and service. As Lyft drivers return to serving the transportation needs of Lyft customers post-covid, it is more important than ever to keep vehicles in tip-top operational shape. Openbay is making auto repair and service convenient and affordable for Lyft drivers.

The new Lyft driver dashboard contains a list of exclusive and discount automotive repair services for Lyft drivers. Services include routine checks and maintenance to complex repairs. New menus and search features make it easy to find services for specific year-make-model vehicles. If a Lyft driver is unsure about the service they need, there are menus to describe the problem they are experiencing (e.g. check engine light).

The new user interface displays upfront pricing in an easy-to-use format once a service request is created by a Lyft driver on the Openbay platform. When a Lyft driver selects a service from pre-priced services, Openbay shows the retail price of the service and the price the Lyft driver will pay.

Lyft drivers can sort on customer ratings / reviews, distance and price to find the service center that best meets their needs. Most favorable selection is distance. Lyft drivers want to get back on the road quickly!

Lyft drivers are able to learn more about a price estimate by viewing the details. Here a Lyft driver can view line items on the estimate, read ratings and reviews by customers that actually had their vehicle serviced by the respective service center, hours of operation, amenities, certifications and more.

Booking a service appointment is a few clicks – select a date and time for service.

Once the date and time is selected, the Lyft driver selects a payment method used to process payment for the service upon completion by the service center. Following the payment method selection, the confirmation page provides the Lyft driver step-by-step instruction on where and how to get their vehicle serviced.
