As predicted, for the month of February 2020, total vehicle miles traveled (VMT) by U.S. drivers continued a downward trend as estimated by data from the U.S. Department of Transportation and studies conducted by Openbay. This trend will most likely flatten through March 2020 based on historical trends and any unforeseen events. VMT for the month of February is estimated at 232 million miles, having near zero growth when compared to the same period a year ago, and 1.6% lower than the same period three years ago.
