Here’s Toni, who used to drive her Mustang around from shop to shop when it was time for her to book auto repair in San Diego. One Google search later, and she’s found a modern solution to a problem as old as the automobile: how to know she’d get quality auto repair, and at a fair price.
Where do you live, and what type of vehicle do you drive?
I live in San Diego, CA and I drive a 2004 Ford Mustang GT.
How did you find Openbay?
I found Openbay searching on Google looking for a quote for car repair. Once I read a little more about Openbay, I liked the idea that I could review multiple quotes for shops in my area. I usually go around from shop to shop for that.
Has Openbay delivered, as you had expected?
It was different than I initially thought. After I had the service done at the shop, I went to pick up my car and hadn’t realized that I was paying through Openbay. I didn’t realize that my payment would be processed through Openbay, so that was a good surprise.
Prior to Openbay, where did you learn about auto repair shops near you?
I usually was referred by a friend, or by calling around myself. Often times I would drive from shop to shop and have estimates done for me in person.
How did you select your service provider/shop?
I went to Wheel Depot. I based my decision on the reviews and price. Before booking, I read through their Openbay, Yelp and Google reviews. I had received another quote that was lower than Wheel Depot’s, but its reviews weren’t as good, so I didn’t want to go there.
Would you use Openbay again?
Yes, I already have. I just booked service with Wheel Depot again, for my other car. Openbay is so convenient for me to use.
