In the latest edition of Openbay user stories, we spoke with Vishal, a Ford software engineer who was glad to discover that our online marketplace for auto repair even existed. Here’s how his experience went, booking an oil change, tire rotation, air filter replacement and general diagnosis, for his Infiniti G37.
Where do you live and what do you drive?
I live in Dearborn Heights, Michigan and drive an Infiniti G37. I work for Ford as a software engineer.
How did you find Openbay?
I was just looking randomly on internet, and found it.
I have a very low understanding of auto-repair needs, and I hadn’t imagined any like this had ever existed. I’m really happy about it.
What encouraged you to book vehicle service with Openbay?
The best thing I found on Openbay was that you had the ability to fix my problem. Openbay gave me so many options, about how many dealers and shops were available. I liked having the ability to get the car in and get it done. I also appreciated getting different quotes.
Did you book online or via the Openbay mobile app?
I booked online, and had used the messaging through my profile, because there was some miscommunication, and people trying to call when I was busy.
Also, I had worked with someone from Openbay who was very helpful. It was a great experience.
Has Openbay delivered, as you had expected?
Yes, absolutely.
Would you book service with Openbay again?
Yes, I would definitely go through Openbay, because you never know which is a good dealer, or which is a good shop, and I liked being able to review the places.
The person at Auto Lab Plymouth, the shop I’d chosen was very helpful and polite. They explained all the potential issues, so I could get a complete picture of what the car might need.
