Openbay Gets Prominent Backers For New Auto Repair Booking Service

Cambridge startup Openbay on Monday launched its online service and mobile app for booking auto repair, and disclosed funding from a group of prominent venture capitalists and angel investors, including Andreessen Horowitz and Google Ventures.

The investment from Andreessen Horowitz was led by Jeff Jordan, and led by Rich Miner for Google Ventures.

Also backing Openbay are Boston Seed Capital and Stage 1 Ventures, as well as angels including Andy Palmer (Vertica, Koa Labs), Jim Pallotta (Boston Celtics, Raptor Group), Jit Saxena (Netezza, Applix) and Ty Danco (eSecLending). The startup declined to disclose the amount of the funding.
